Shannon Milan
Owner & Stylist
Shannon has been a hair stylist in downtown Kalamazoo for over 10 years, starting at Trombley salon where she apprenticed under owner and creative designer Albert Trombley. Shannon spent the next 3 years at Andrew Beth salon & spa. Over the course of her career Shannon has constantly been upgrading her education portfolio to become better at her craft. As the salon’s color specialist and educator Shannon loves to work with clients to not only find a color formula that complements a great haircut but also can enhance the overall look of an individual.
Jason Milan
Owner & Salon Coordinator
As salon manager Jason takes pride in the salon that he has created with his wife Shannon. Jason loves to converse with clients and help them receive the best possible experience once they enter The Style Shop. Jason has a background in retail sales and has a B.A in education from Western Michigan University. His knowledge base of the salon business is constantly expanding and educational classes aren’t limited to just hairstylists, Jason attends classes that teach him how to be a better salon manager and a better salon owner. Jason loves any outdoor activity, especially if it involves playing with his dog Milo.
Jennifer Hudson
Stylist
Jennifer comes to Milan with a very diverse and storied background in the genre of creative arts. Jennifer has worked as a masseur at a reputable downtown salon and is a dancer for the very talented and inspiring Wellspring Dance Company. Jennifer joined the Milan staff in June of 2004 and has been creating inspiring looks on her clients ever since. With a knack for working with curly and sometime, unruly hair, Jennifer’s attention to detail allows her to be very proficient in creating the style that’s desired.
Noelle Caminito
Stylist
Noelle comes to Milan from the Petoskey area where she worked in one of this resort towns premier salon and spas. She is Aveda trained and has a multitude of both color and cutting classes under her belt. Noelle has an eye for fashion and loves creating updated styles that show off her color expertise.
Kate Gibson
Stylist
With an extensive amount of training and education that includes Sassoon precision haircutting classes and numerous high-lighting, Balayage and corrective color courses, Kate’s passion for her craft is evident. Kate considers herself an artist when working behind the chair and prides herself for being one at home as well where she has other artistic outlets such as painting, drawing and cooking, just to name a few.
